As a lifetime dieter I have tried all of the diets! You name it, I have been on it. Until a few years ago, when I got really tired of the yo-yo dieting, the restrictions, the counting of calories, points, micros - you name it. I did it, and I was tired.
Then I found a better way. I became a health coach and dug deeper into and learned more about intuitive eating and understanding your body cues.
I spent a year learning about emotional eating and the varied layers of complexity behind a person's relationship with food.
I learned to become comfortable in my own body. I learned to accept, appreciate, and love my body.
And you know what? A funny thing happened! I began to lose the weight I did not want and my weight stabilized at a level I was happy with.
